Subscribing, downloading and listening to Podcasts is about to get a whole lot easier. Apple announced recently that iTunes 4.9 will support Podcasts and just today a whole bunch of manufacturers agreed on standards for wireless USB connectivity. Imagine a day when subscribing, downloading and listening to podcasts is as smooth and easy as, oh, I don't know, radio.

It's only a matter of time until Apple releases an iPod optimized for listening to podcasts. Chances are that iPod will wirelessly sync with a computer and make the consuming end of podcasting smooth and easy.

Next up are opportunities on the creation side. Easy solutions are still needed to help people create podcasts and make them available to those that wish to listen. As the net fills with thousands of podcasts a reliable and easy system for finding podcasts that you want to listen to will be critical.
