Camera phones are bringing new functionality to everyday life. If you don't have one you don't know what you are missing. If you do have one you probably have a few unique, cool or just plain useful life hacks that you use with your phone.
Personally, I like to:
Capture ISBN/UPC Codes - When I am out in meatspace shopping in "brick and mortars" or "metal and styrofoams" I like to use my picture phone to snap shots of ISBN numbers(books) or UPC codes(other products) for things I want to price compare online.
Capture Business hours of Operations - This is a tip I read some months ago. Occasionally, I snap a photo of the hours of operation sign on the front door of businesses I frequent. When a question arises as to how late a particular business is open I can refer back to these photos.
Quick Low Tech Email Messages - If I need to send a simple three or four word message to someone when I am out and about I will print the message in marker on paper and snap a quick pic that I can then email to a friend's computer or phone. (I like this technique because my phone service includes unlimited pics but charges for SMS text messages.)
Now I've got a new idea inspired by the MyFoodPhone service post on Engadget. MyFoodPhone is a service that coaches dieters by having dietitians review phone cam shots of program participants meals to advise them about food choices and portion sizes. The service is expensive at $149US per month.
My Idea - Ditch the paper food diaries and build a moblog that captures food consumption in phone cam pictures. Just like paper diaries can keep people from eating more food than they want to write down and be accountable for, a food moblog will help keep food portions in line because dieters won't want to document their gluttony.

What's a tag?
What a great idea... I know that my wife would love this.
