Martha Stewart decided to get with the program and take her medicine. Get it over with is now her thinking. She has dropped her appeal and wants to get her prison time underway so she can be out "in time to plant the spring garden."
Martha has finally calculated that this is in the best interest of her business and fortunes. While she would prefer to win an appeal and not be a convicted criminal which precludes her from owning or being a director for her company she has decided to get this behind her.
I think it's the right move. If she continues to defend her innocence and push her appeal it may just be too late to resurrect her struggling company. By moving on she can craft her comeback and return to the forefront of the domestic diva personality brand business.
The critics and the fans will debate and debate but we love the fact that this announcement comes the day after the Oprah G6 stunt. I guess Martha wants some attention too.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but it seems like she has never apologized or admitted any wrong doing. I don't know securities fraud law very well, though I worked on Wall Street in the 1980s, but is she so arrogant she will not confess guilt?
I see so many good qualities in her, but she needs good old fashioned repentance and vows to reform.
She needs a strong dose of "Mentally Correct Marketing via Business Poetry" which I gently and ruthlessly dispense to her at my recent article "Martha Stewart & Mentally Correct Marketing" at:

I hate to post one comment hot on the heels of a previous one, so forgive me, friend.
But you've given me a great idea: take a hot topic of current news, find a web site that ties into it, a personal or company site, then analyze the web site.
Thanks for the inspiration. See my post:
