This fantastically simple design from The Design Center of Toyama is an award winner for universal(accessible) design. The idea is that people can hook a finger in the ring to push or pull the plug in or out of electrical outlets.
I'll say it again, simple design elements that make a product more usable for those with age related mobility challenges are more important then ever. A simple power plug like this truly is a free prize.
If my father had these when I was growing up he would hide jelly beans in them at Easter time.
