The content--technology marriage is a difficult life. Copyright issues certainly strain the relationship. Content creators want limits placed on technology devices that can be used to share or sample content. Hardware tech makers want to innovate unrestrained.
Sometimes the marriage works pretty well. Sony has announced that it is entering the market of digital projection equipment for movie theaters. This makes good sense if they can partner with theater operators to market enhanced viewing experience for Sony Pictures content. This would be a definite advantage over the Texas Instrument equipment currently in the marketplace.
