Is anybody surprised with the report of Krispy Kreme's earnings falling in this low carb crazed nation? Stock is down 25% at this writing.

Krispy Kreme must be careful. The worst thing they can possibly do now is to come out with some sort of "low carb" version of their product. That would dilute the brand. While millions of people are on low carb diets millions are not. Yes, Krispy Kreme doughnuts are decadent and yes, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are a fattening treat. That's why they are successful. Don't risk the core business.
