Oprah takes a break from decorating shows and ratings grab "tabloid talk" today to bring us a book tour stop from David Bach. This must be one the producers really like since they're squeezing him in between "Gastric Bypass Monday" and "Kids Home Alone" Wednesday.

Is he the next personality brand to ride the Oprah effect. David Bach's sound financial advice is linked to all the right buzz words. "Finish Rich" and "Automatic Millionaire" are things that wake people up. He makes it sound easy and straight forward. Everyone wants to be a millionaire. Not everyone knows if a million will be enough to retire on. It sounds good and it's more than people are doing now. A visit to his website indicates that he is looking to become the next big financial personality brand. Workbooks, seminars, coaching, etc. are all in the offing.

Since Suze Orman has disappeared from the Oprah show(she's still in the magazine as far as I know) there has been a gap in the lifestyle line-up that features established gurus like Dr. Phil and Nate Berkus Time and viewer response will tell if we are to see a lot more of David Bach.

I wonder if their will be such heated speculation and interest in his sexual preference as there has been with Nate Berkus. Perhaps gay financial advisor doesn't have the same cache as gay decorator.
