Engadget has a great post about a company in Japan using RFID tags in Sushi Bar plates. This enables wait staff to scan a stack of empty plates and send the check to the cash register. This is a great technology and it will change cafeteria style food service areas (hospitals, college dorms, corporate campuses, etc.) across the globe. Suddenly cafeterias become giant walk thru vending machines.
Hang on to your jobs RFID technology is going to change everything.
